The State of Qatar is hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The 64-game tournament in eight stadiums in and around Doha has a total capacity of about 3 million tickets.

As of 05 November 2022, over 97% of the tickets have been sold. You can still buy online through FIFA’s last-minute sales, the FIFA Resale Platform, or through counter sales at DECC and ABHA Arena.

31 October 2022 Update: A new FIFA Ticketing Center has now opened in the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena (ABHA Arena) in Al Sadd. The ticketing centre will be open until 18 December 2022.

18 October 2022 Update: Counter sales of physical tickets have begun at the ticketing centres in Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).Ticket prices are the same as online tickets.

27 September 2022 Update: The online last-minute sales phase of tickets for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 started on 27 September 2022. The last-minute sales phase will be a first come, first served sales period. It will be open until the end of the tournament.

Qatar 2022 Ticket Sales Phases

There are three sales phases for ticket sales:

All local and international fans must apply for a digital Hayya Card. This will be your entry permit to the State of Qatar and your stadium access (along with the match ticket).

Ticket Categories

There are four ticket categories for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Category 1 is the highest priced and is located in prime areas within the stadium. Categories 2 and 3 are located outside of the Category 1 area. Category 4, which is the cheapest, will be reserved exclusively for Qatar residents.

Prices range from QAR 40 for Category 4 tickets during group matches to QAR 5,850 for Category 1 tickets for the final at Lusail Stadium.

Three types of tickets will be available during the first Random Selection Draw sales period:

• Individual Match Tickets (IMTs)
• Team Specific Ticket Series (TSTs)
• Four Stadium Ticket series (FSTs)

Qatar 2022 Individual Match Ticket Prices (IMT)

An Individual Match Ticket is a ticket for a specific match. These tickets are available for all matches of the competition.

Individual Match Tickets are available in categories 1, 2, 3 and 4 (category 4 is available only for residents of Qatar), as well as in the Accessibility Tickets category.

** CATEGORY 4 tickets are reserved exclusively for residents of Qatar

Qatar 2022 Team Specific Ticket Series (TST)

A series of match tickets to support a specific national team of the customer’s choice, which allows the customer to watch either three (TST3), four (TST4) or seven (TST7) matches.

The TST purchased guarantees the customer tickets for matches of such rounds included in the specific TST package purchased by the customer, regardless of whether the national team itself qualifies for such rounds. Each of the packages would contain the following:

• TST3 includes 3 Group Matches
• TST4 includes 3 Group Matches and a Round of 16 Match
• TST7 includes 3 Group Matches, a Round of 16 Match, a Quarter-Final, a Semi-Final and the Final

TSTs are available in categories 1, 2 and 3 as well as in the Accessibility Tickets category.

• All tickets are sold in Qatari Riyal (QAR)
• Prices for TST Qatar include an opening match premium
• Please note that an opening match premium will be added to the ticket price should the team of your choice be drawn as team A2 and will therefore play against Qatar in the Opening Match.
• Each TST includes a 10% TST Administration Fee

Qatar 2022 Four-Stadium Ticket Series (FST)

These are ticket packages for those who want to attend one match on a selected number of matchdays while visiting four different stadiums.

FIFA will make several Four-Stadium Ticket Series available, each with a different combination of matches and stadiums. Fans will be able to choose which of the packages correspond to their wishes and travel plans.

The Four-Stadium Ticket Series will be available in categories 1, 2 and 3 and in the Accessibility Tickets category.

Please note that it is not possible to choose the matches included in each package, as these packages are fixed.

How To Buy Qatar World Cup Tickets

The below procedure was applicable for the random selection phases. The last-minute sales phase may have some differences in the application process.

Step 1: Go to FIFA Website Ticketing Page

There would be separate links for international fans and Qatar residents.

International fans can apply by going to this link.

Qatar Residents can apply by going to this link.

Enter the captcha and wait for your link to login.

Step 2: Login / Register on the FIFA website

If you do not have an existing account, you can click the “Register By Email” button and create an account.

Step 3: Select your ticket type

You can choose between Individual Match Tickets (IMTs), Four-Stadium Ticket series (FSTs) and Team Specific Ticket Series (TSTs). If you want to watch only one match, select Individual Match Tickets.

Step 4: Select your match date and venue

You can see the dates and venues of all 64 matches. Team names are not visible now as the Final Draw is yet to happen.

Step 5: Choose your ticket category

Select the category of ticket you want to apply for.

Step 6: Confirm the ticket or Add more tickets

At this stage, you can submit the application or add more tickets.

Step 7: Submit your personal details

If you proceed with Submit Application, you will be asked to verify and fill up all missing information.

Step 8: Select your preferred team(if needed)

You can choose any team or select “No specific team”. Then click on confirm my details.

Step 9: Join a group of friends (if needed)

If you want to sit with a team of friends, you can enter their Group ID. If not, you can proceed with submission.

Step 10: Submit your application

Finally, you must agree to the terms and conditions and submit your application. You will receive a confirmation on-screen and by email.

Successful submission of your application does not guarantee you a ticket. The random draw will be held after 8th February 2022 and you will be notified by email if you have been successful or partially successful and given details about your payment.

It is important to note that Visa payment cards are the only payment method accepted for residents of Qatar, while Visa payment cards and other accepted payment cards are accepted for international fans. Payment with your personal payment card is a material obligation, and you must be the named payment cardholder.

How To Check Status of Qatar World Cup Ticket Applications

Duringtherandom selection draw sales period, you will be notified of the outcome of your ticket application by emailafterthe random selection draw.Additionally, you can check the status and details of your ticket application at any time afterthat.

• Go toFIFA.com/tickets.
• Select FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
• Click on “My ticket application”.
• Log in to your FIFA ticketing account and check the status and the details of your ticket application.

During the first come, first served sales periods, you can check the status and details of your ticket application at any time by following the steps below:

• AccessFIFA.com/tickets.
• Select FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
• Click on “My ticket application”.
• Log in to your FIFA ticketing account.
• Select your name on the top menu.
• Select “Ticket application history” and check the status and details of your ticket application.

How To Cancel Qatar World Cup Tickets

During Random Selection Draw Sales Periods, you, as the ticket applicant, may change or cancel a ticket application up until the closing date of the applicable sales period.

You have to log in to your ticketing account, where you will be presented with a summary of your ticket application(s), and you can cancel your application(s) by clicking on the “Delete my application” button.

You can also edit your application(s) by clicking on the “Edit my application” button on the home page of your ticketing account.

After the closing date of a random selection draw sales period, you cannot cancel or change a ticket application.

According to the FIFA website, you cannot cancel or return a purchase or any tickets, including for any reason beyond your control, after FIFA Ticketing has successfully processed payment for the ticket(s).

In First Come, First Served Sales Periods, ticket purchases will be processed as a real-time transaction, meaning available tickets will be allocated directly to ticket applicants, and all successful purchases will be confirmed immediately. Therefore, as all sales are final, during first come, first served sales periods, it is impossible to cancel or change a ticket application.

How to EditQatar World Cup Tickets Information

During a Random Selection Draw sales period, you can edit information after login into your ticketing account. Upon entering the ticketing platform, you can edit your personal details by clicking on the “Edit my personal details” button.

Please note that changes will not be saved until you click “Submit my ticket application” at the bottom of the page.

How To Collect Qatar World Cup Tickets

The time and method for the delivery of your tickets will be communicated by FIFA Ticketing in due course.

Discounted Tickets For Qatar Residents

Category 4 consists of discounted tickets that are only reserved for Qatar residents. Ticket categories 1, 2 and 3 are available to all fans.

Qatar resident refers to any individual legally residing permanently or temporarily in Qatar, including Qatari citizens and citizens from other countries. You will be eligible under this category if you are a foreign national with Qatar Residence Permit. However, visitors to Qatar cannot claim this even if they provide a domestic address in Qatar.

For all online sales, at the time of the order, each ticket applicant must provide the domestic address of their Qatar residence and their QID (Qatar ID) number.

Accessibility Tickets

Accessibility Tickets are dedicated to disabled people and people with limited mobility. They are limited in number due to stadium configuration. If you apply for Accessibility Tickets, you must provide proof of eligibility as part of the ticket application process.

Needless to say, please be courteous to other fans and only apply for these tickets if you truly require them. In case of misrepresentation, all of your ticket applications may be rejected and/or your tickets will be cancelled.

Qatar World Cup Tickets For Children

There will be no discounted tickets for children. All ticket prices apply to adults and children, regardless of the child’s age.

There is no minimum age for children. A ticket must be purchased for each person who wishes to attend a match, regardless of age.

Please note that children and adolescents must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the day of the match.

Maximum Limit on Number of Tickets

You may apply for up to six (6) tickets per match and purchase a maximum of sixty (60) tickets across the tournament per postal address. This rule applies whether you apply and/or purchase Individual Match Tickets, Team Specific Tickets, Four-Stadiums Ticket series, or other ticket products.

In addition, you may apply for a mixture of different ticket products, subject to household restrictions. However, during the first sales phase, before the final draw, you may not apply for ticket products that may translate in the same match or matches played on the same day. Ticket applications for matches played on the same day will only be possible for some group matches, after the final draw, subject to the compatibility rules.

Resale or Transfer of Tickets

A Ticket applicant is only permitted to assign tickets to guests free of charge or for an amount no greater than the face value of the ticket.

Guests are not permitted to transfer tickets under any circumstances. If a guest can no longer use a ticket, then it must be returned to the ticket applicant. Only the ticket applicant is permitted to reassign a ticket to another guest.

If you cannot attend a match, you may put all your tickets up for resale on the official FIFA Resale Platform, subject to the applicable conditions. The FIFA Resale Platform and the respective Resale Policy will be available at FIFA.com/tickets in due course.
